Questions
How does Golf Teams make the teams fair?
It ranks every golfer by handicap index or stroke average, snake-drafts the best players so no team gets two of them, then swaps players between teams until the averages are as close as it can get them. Any team with an extra player is handicapped to make up for it.
Do my golfers need official handicaps?
No. A rough scoring average works just as well — enter the number a player usually shoots and the draw balances on that.
Can I keep two players together, or apart?
Yes. Link a pair to guarantee they play together, or add an avoid pair to guarantee they do not. The balancing works around both.
Which formats does it work for?
Scrambles, shambles, best ball, captain’s choice, charity outings, member-guests, league nights and club days — anything where players have to be split into even teams.
