Questions
Do I need to be an electrician to use Breaker Box?
No. Most people use it to map one house: open the panel, read the labels that are already there, and fill in the rest as you find out what each breaker does. Electricians use the same app to document panels across many buildings.
Can I print a label for the inside of the panel door?
Yes. Breaker Box exports a PDF legend, and Pro lets you set the print size so it fits the sleeve or the door of your own panel. Font scale is adjustable per label.
Does it handle sub-panels and three-phase panels?
Yes. Breakers can be linked to the sub-panel they feed, main disconnects and neutral-ground bonding are recorded per panel, and phase colours are supported for 1-, 2- and 3-phase.
Can I manage more than one property?
Yes. Panels are grouped into houses, and you can keep as many houses as you need in the app. Pro removes the limit on how many panels you can store.
What happens to my panels if I change phones?
iCloud sync carries them across your devices, and any panel can be exported to a file and imported on the new device or handed to a client.
